Community Involvement
At Weber State Credit Union, we not only believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People", we practice it. Below are just some of the many community involvement activities we participate in.

Adopt-a-Highway
Weber State Credit Union has adopted a highway. Twice a year, employees of Weber State Credit Union volunteer their time to clean a beautiful section of Highway 39 in Huntsville. We urge everyone to do his or her part and respect this beautiful state we live in.

Shred-It Day
In our effort to fight identity theft Weber State Credit Union and Shred-It have joined forces. On Saturday, April 21st, 2007, the third annual community “Shred It” day was held in conjunction with a classic car show. Several Shred-It trucks were made available at our Main branch and North Ogden Branch to shred and recycle confidential documents free of charge to the public.

100% for Kids
The Utah Credit Union Educational Foundation provides teachers with grants to purchase supplies for the classroom, school projects and educational opportunities. 100 percent of the money donated by credit unions and their members goes to students.

Warm the Soles
This annual program sponsored by credit unions statewide once again made a difference in the lives of many needy children by providing new shoes during the winter season. Through the generosity of many credit union members and employees over 90 pairs of shoes were provided by WSCU to the kindergarten children at Lincoln Elementary School in Ogden.

Relay for Life
On Friday, June 8th, 2007 , credit union employees helped raise money for the American Cancer Society at the Relay for Life event. Luminary bags were sold at the credit union and lit at a special ceremony during the event to honor cancer patients, survivors, and those who have passed away.
